2. Purpose of the service
SEDEO is a marketplace connecting partner local shops (the "Vendors"), customers and couriers for the express delivery of groceries in Brussels and, progressively, in other Belgian cities. The services offered include:
- browsing the Vendors' catalogues and ordering food and everyday consumer products online;
- express delivery (15 to 40 minutes depending on the zone) carried out by SEDEO couriers;
- real-time order tracking;
- the option to leave an optional tip for the courier, passed on in full (100 %);
- a customer service (complaints, refunds, replacements);
- for shops: an online storefront, product and order management, statistics and reports.
Unless stated otherwise, the sales contract for the products is concluded between the customer and the Vendor; SEDEO acts as an intermediary and handles the delivery.
3. Account and eligibility
Use of the service is reserved for adults (18 years and over) with a delivery address in a served zone. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account. Orders may also be placed as a guest.
4. Prices, VAT and payment
- All prices are stated in euros, VAT included (6 % or 21 % depending on the product).
- Delivery fees are displayed before checkout; they are waived from 25 € of purchase.
- Payment is made online (bank card, Google Pay, Apple Pay) through a PCI-DSS certified provider. The order is only confirmed once the payment has been authorised.
- A minimum order amount may apply depending on the shop; it is indicated on its storefront.
5. Tips
At checkout, you may add an optional tip for the courier. By default, the tip is 0 €. It is passed on in full (100 %) to the courier who completed the delivery, with no commission taken by SEDEO. The tip is refundable only if the order is cancelled in full before the courier sets off.
6. Delivery
Displayed times are indicative and depend on courier availability, traffic and weather. Delivery is made to the address provided; if you are absent, the courier will try to reach you for 10 minutes, after which the order may be considered delivered if it is left in a safe place according to your instructions, or cancelled with perishable products still charged.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article VI.47 of the Code of Economic Law, the consumer has 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase, without giving a reason. However, in accordance with article VI.53 CDE, this right does not apply to:
- perishable goods or goods with a limited shelf life (fruit, vegetables, fresh products, bakery items…);
- unsealed products that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection;
- goods made to your specifications.
For eligible products, see our refund policy.
8. Products, allergens and alcohol
Vendors guarantee that their products comply with Belgian and European regulations (labelling, cold chain, FASFC/AFSCA approval). Allergen information is available on request from the Vendor. The sale of alcohol is prohibited to persons under 18; proof of identity may be required on delivery.
9. Liability
SEDEO does everything possible to keep the platform available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. SEDEO's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, up to the amount of the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights granted to you by Belgian law.
10. Personal data and cookies
The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy and our cookie policy, which form an integral part of these terms.
11. Intellectual property
The SEDEO trademark, logo, interface and platform content are protected. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited. Vendors remain the owners of their trademarks and visuals.
12. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will first be sought through our support team. Failing that, you may refer the matter free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service (Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, box 1, 1000 Brussels · mediationconsommateur.be).
